The show which is run annually at the prestigious Hurlingham Club in Chelsea attracts exhibitors and visitors from around the world and specialises in showcasing properties for sale in the £3 To £15 million price bracket.
DHP Chairman David Hall said: “The magazine market is flat at best and even when magazines do become available for sale publishers still have a very weird idea as to what their titles are worth.
When the LPS came on the market we jumped at the opportunity to talk to the owners. The top end of the property market is recession proof and we felt the price was sensible and the whole deal was concluded in a matter of a few weeks. Despite still seeing ourselves as publishers of magazines we have been very successful in recent years in the exhibition and outdoor show side of our business. So this was a great opportunity to expand our portfolio.”
