DMGT reported strong growth for events, information and Mail Online but print media suffers

DMGTDMGT’s Q1 trading update reveals mixed fortunes with underlying growth at 1%.

It’s dmg events business delivered strong underlying growth of 14%. With reported revenues increased to £47 million. The Big 5 Dubai and ADIPEC shows took place in November 2014 and both events delivered double digit growth.

MailOnline’s digital advertising revenue grew 21% in the quarter and partly offset the 10% decline in print advertising revenues. Underlying advertising revenues across the Mail businesses as a whole, for print and digital combined, were consequently down 3%.

dmg information revenues showed an underlying growth of 6%. Reported revenues benefited from acquisitions.
