TechTarget acquires controlling interest in Chinese lead generation pioneer

(NASDAQ: TTGT) today announces it has acquired control of the operations of Beijing-based Keji Wangtuo Information Technology Co. Ltd. (TechTarget-China), an existing TechTarget partner that runs Chinese-language versions of TechTarget’s most popular websites.

TechTarget-China, a partner of TechTarget’s since its launch in 2008, operates 11 targeted websites in Mandarin dedicated to information technology buyers in China, including SearchStorage.com.cn™,SearchSecurity.com.cn™, SearchDataCenter.com.cn™, SearchCIO.com.cn™ andSearchCloudComputing.com.cn™.  The sites are modeled after TechTarget’s global online network, featuring translated versions of TechTarget’s award-winning editorial content, as well as original articles produced for the Chinese market. These sites serve as the platform for innovative lead-generation and brand-building programs that TechTarget-China has delivered for advertisers like IBM, Oracle, SAP and EMC.

The 11 Chinese sites add to the existing strength of TechTarget media across the Asia-Pacific region (APAC), which includes 4 sites in India, 3 sites in Australia-New Zealand and 19 partner sites in Japan. TechTarget has more than 2 million registered members in APAC.
