ITE Group plc today announces it has sold its 75% stake in ECMI ITE Asia Sdn. Bhd. (“ECMI”), a Malaysia-based events business, and related assets in Indonesia to UBMMG Holdings Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of UBM plc which recently became part of the Informa Group, for a cash consideration of MYR 15m1 (c. £2.8m*). This disposal is in line with the Group’s Transformation and Growth Programme (the “TAG Programme”).
TE Group subsidiary, ECMI-ITE Exhibitions Asia together with partner company VEAS, has announced that it will organise the first major international oil and gas exhibition in Myanmar.
Malaysian-based ECMI ITE Asia, a subsidiary of the ITE Group, has announced the extension of its Cosmobeauté exhibition series into Myanmar. Cosmobeauté is Southeast Asia’s premier event for the professional beauty industry and is already organised in Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam. The new event will be held at the Myanmar Convention Centre, Yangon from 6-8 June 2014.
