Pilot magazine acquires Today’s Pilot

PilotWe are delighted to announce that Pilot magazine, the UK’s biggest-selling GA magazine, has acquired Today’s Pilot from Key Publishing Ltd – providing an unbeatable new combination for general aviation readers and businesses.

This powerful new union under the Pilot banner means that pilots, flying enthusiasts and advertisers will now enjoy even more comprehensive coverage of the flying world every month. What’s more, it brings together a whole new team of the best aviation writers and photographers between the covers of one magazine.

Pilot magazine has been the market-leading, most authoritative GA title for over 40 years, covering everything from gliders, microlights and helicopters to private, business and commercial fixed-wing flying. Today’s Pilot, meanwhile, has over the last ten years become a worthy, quality addition to the aviation magazine market, particularly among student pilots.

Bringing them together in one magazine now offers readers, both old and new, unbeatable value while advertisers will benefit from extra commercial opportunities and an even broader reach among pilots and within the aviation market.

With this move we are delighted to welcome Today’s Pilot Editor Dave Unwin to the newly formed Pilot team, headed by Group Editor Nick Wall and Associate Editor Philip Whiteman. Dave will become Pilot’s Flight Test Editor and also work on the Today’s Pilot section within Pilot.

This is a very exciting development in the flying world, producing a powerful new force in the GA market for both readers and businesses. The first combined issue of Pilot incorporating Today’s Pilot will be the April issue, on sale March 2
