IPC has ended the magazine divestment process after selling 20 titles

ipcIPC Media announced yesterday it had ended the ‘divestment process’that led it to sell off 20 magazines over the course of the last ten weeks to smaller, independent publishing houses. Britain’s biggest magazine company took the decision to dispose of around a quarter of its titles after implementing a strategic review in the spring aimed at helping it focus its business more acutely on multimedia publishing.

The sales included: Classic Boat and Racecar Engineering to The Chelsea Magazine CompanyCage and Aviary BirdAeroplaneMiniWorldShips Monthly and Park and Holiday Caravan to Kelsey Publishing. Web User magazine to Dennis PublishingHi-Fi NewsModel Collector and Stamp Magazine to MyHobbyStore. Guitar & Bass magazine to Anthem Publishing. Superbike, PredictionHair and Loaded to VitalityRailway Magazine to Mortons Media Group.
