TechTarget acquires three Australia-New Zealand websites

TechTargetNewton, MA – October 19, 2010 – Technology media company TechTarget, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTGT) today announces it has acquired three websites dedicated to information technology buyers in Australia and New Zealand. These three sites, which have been developed and operated for the past four years by TechTarget’s regional partner, Sydney-based Westwick-Farrow Media, are modeled after TechTarget’s global online network. In connection with the restructured partnership, TechTarget and Westwick-Farrow are enhancing their successful relationship in Australia and New Zealand to help marketers better reach IT decision-makers in the region.

The three sites, SearchSecurity.com.au™, SearchStorage.com.au™, and SearchCIO.com.au™, serve the IT security, storage, and senior technology professional audiences with local editorial leadership and content produced specifically to meet the needs and interests of IT departments in Australia and New Zealand.

The sites add to the existing strength of TechTarget media across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region that include 4 sites in India, 11 sites in China, and 19 partner sites in Japan, bringing the Company’s total membership in the Asia-Pacific region to more than 2 million registered members.

In this new partnership, TechTarget will manage the sites, media product infrastructure and audience databases, which Westwick-Farrow has been developing for the past four years. These audiences have now been merged with TechTarget’s existing Australia and New Zealand membership and will be operated on TechTarget’s industry leading site, audience and lead delivery platform. Westwick-Farrow’s award-winning editorial team will continue to provide ANZ-specific content for the three sites and its sales team will continue to represent the sites in Australia and New Zealand.

This new, combined offering will give technology marketers, whether US buyers of international media, APAC-regional marketers, or the Australia country teams, targeted media options to reach serious buyers while they are actively researching different technologies and products.

“Now, technology marketers will be able to buy targeted online media programs focused on Australia and New Zealand with a much stronger database and all of the advanced media capabilities for which TechTarget is recognized,” said Jon Panker, Vice President, APAC for TechTarget. “Westwick-Farrow Media has been a great partner over the past 4 years and they will continue their contribution to the integrity of editorial on these sites.” added Panker.
