Condé Nast creates e-commerce division

Conde_Nast_logoFranck Zayan, who is currently responsible for the e-commerce activities of the Paris-based department store Galeries Lafayette, will head-up the new division next January.

Zayan has been Internet and E-commerce Director of Galeries Lafayette since 2011.

Previously he operated an e-commerce consulting business, Traffic Garden, and in the period 2004 to 2007 started and operated an online shoe retailer, which he then sold.

His new position will be based in London and he will report to a board of directors consisting of Condé Nast’s top American and international executives.

Jonathan Newhouse, Chairman and Chief Executive of Condé Nast International, said: “The scope of our brands and the revolution in technology are bringing about new opportunities in the e-commerce space.

“It will be Franck’s responsibility to explore and develop ideas which can serve our readers, users, advertising clients and business partners.”
