MWW has announced it has acquired Ideation Inc.

MWWMWW, one of the top-five global independent public relations firms, today announced it has acquired Ideation Inc., an innovation and development lab founded by Robert Dilio, who will join MWW as chief technology officer.

Dilio brings more than two decades of experience in software development, digital architecture, social strategy and product management. At MWW, Dilio will enhance technology innovation within the firm, expand its digital capabilities and build custom solutions for clients across the agency by leveraging real-time data and user behavior analytics to create unique experiences for consumers. Dilio will also work to develop additional proprietary intellectual property for MWW using his deep understanding of data and technology.

“Robert is a rare talent with deep expertise in digital innovation, marketing and software development,” said Michael W. Kempner, president and CEO, MWW. “Robert’s knowledge and experience, together with the acquisition of Ideation Inc., will build upon our already strong digital and technology team at MWW, allowing us to identify new opportunities for our clients by using a suite of technology tools that lead the industry in real-time analytics.”

Ideation Inc., founded in 2012 by Dilio, is a New York based lab that creates experiences for clients driven by real-time data and builds products for companies ranging from bleeding edge technology startups to Fortune 100 companies. Dilio also developed Related Noise, a social media platform, which was used to power some of the largest social media campaigns of the last 12 months for Twitter and Axe for the 2014 Super Bowl, Entertainment Weekly at Comic-Con, and several campaigns for top retailers and fashion brands. He previously served as chief technology officer at luxury e-commerce retailer Crane & Co, Inc., where he was responsible for expanding the digital technology team and developing a custom e-commerce platform; and was the Co-Founder/SVP of engineering of iLevel Solutions, a Fintech startup based on a product he developed as director of engineering at The Blackstone Group.
