Next Fifteen Communications Group plc announces that it has acquired an 80% stake in Connections Media LLC, a full service digital agency specialising in politics and public affairs. Connections Media will add to Next 15’s public affairs presence in Washington and increase its digital presence in the US.
Connections Media was established in 2004 by digital strategy pioneer Jonah Seiger. The Washington DC-based firm provides complete digital campaign services including: strategy, design, advertising, social media, and customized technology services to select political, advocacy & corporate public affairs clients. With a team of 15 professionals, Connections Media has developed winning digital media programs for some of America’s most influential associations, issue groups, Fortune 500 companies, and candidates for local, state and federal office. The agency has been recognized with numerous industry awards and nominations including a 2012 Webby award and multiple Emmy nominations for digital content.
Connections Media has been acquired from Jonah Seiger (CEO), Phil Lepanto (Chief Technology Officer) and Andy Weishaar (Chief Creative Officer). The initial consideration is $1.85 million, paid in cash at completion. Deferred consideration may be payable over the course of the next 5 years subject to the achievement of certain revenue and profit performance targets. Any deferred consideration that may become payable may be satisfied by cash or up to 25% in Next Fifteen shares, at the option of Next Fifteen.
