UBM Live strengthens business in Turkey with NTSR partnership


UBM Live today announces it has extended its partnership with NTSR, one of Turkey’s leading events businesses, into a joint venture in which UBM will own a 75% stake. The joint venture will operate NTSR’s six leading trade exhibitions: Europort, Intertraffic, Growtech, Istanbul Light, Boatshow and Boatshop. Combined these events cover over 43,000 sqm of exhibition space and host 1,100 exhibitors annually.

UBM has already successfully launched and acquired a number of events in Turkey in partnership with NTSR’s Chairman Serkan Tiglioglu, including the CBME Turkey maternity show, IFSEC Istanbul security show, CPhI Istanbul pharmaceutical show and Food Ingredients Istanbul. The acquisition of a 75% stake in NTSR further extends this partnership and brings the businesses under shared management. The operational team will also work closely with UBM Asia’s Rotaforte business – organiser of the very successful Istanbul Jewellery Fairs in March and October each year and Jewellery Shopping Fest events – to share best practice and explore new markets.
