Bertelsmann profits hit by restructuring and Hungary tax demand

bertelsmannProfits at Bertelsmann, Europe’s biggest media group by revenue, dropped 35 per cent last year as it scaled back on declining businesses and was hit by a tax on advertising revenues brought in by Hungary’s government.

The German family-owned business said on Tuesday that net profit fell from €885m to €573m in 2014.
