Kidtropolis organiser acquires The Digital Kids Show

Malo Events, the organiser of Kidtropolis, Comic Con Ireland and Summer in The City, is adding to its portfolio of events with the acquisition of The Digital Kids Show from Engage Media Solutions.

Since 2016, The Digital Kids Show and Kidtropolis have welcomed over 160,000 children and parents to events in London, Manchester and Birmingham with plans for growth in Scotland and Ireland. The acquisition will take effect immediately with a joint rebrand.

“We have been looking for a way to bring even more exciting content to Kidtropolis and the biggest competing brand in our market place is The Digital Kids Show. So, when the opportunity came along to bring these two amazing brands and formats together it was a very easy decision. The upcoming London and Manchester shows will benefit immediately from the combined content and offer a wider platform for industry to reach out to the family consumer market,” commented Bryan Cooney, CEO of Malo Events and original founder of MCM Comic Con.

The joint offering will present families with an action-packed day full of physical activities with a focus on internet safety, inspiring children to explore STEM and cutting-edge products, alongside traditional toys and games.

The Digital Kids Show was founded by Aisha Tilstone, premiering the show in 2016 as a platform for children and parents to embrace the constantly evolving digital world. After producing conferences focussed on internet safety and bridging the digital divide between parents and children for seven years via the Child Internet Safety Summit, the natural progression culminated in The Digital Kids Show. The event will see exhibiting brands including Xbox, Amazon, YouTube Kids, CBBC, AVAST, Kaspersky, Geomag, Wildbrain, Barclays and Bandai Namco.
