Regional press giant Newsquest (part of Gannett) has bought Mold-based NWN Media along with a portfolio of 13 newspaper titles The titles involved in the deal include the daily Leader (covering Wrexham and Flintshire), the Chester Standard, Powys County Times, Denbighshire Free Press, Whitchurch Herald and North Wales Chronicle.
NWN Media is a family-owned group with a history going back to the 1830s. The company includes design, printing and distribution arms.
